Junior Software Developer and Support

An exciting opportunity has come up to join one of the fastest growing organisations in the Insurance and automotive industry. We are looking for great Junior Java Developers across all technology markets (Java, Tomcat, Angular, SQL, HTML, OOO Design, Java 8) to align with our expansion plan spanning the next few years. It is a great opportunity to grow with the business and have the prospect of progressing to a lead developer.

The successful Junior Java Developer will have:

  • 6 months experience using Java
  • Ability to install, run and manage Java applications in application servers such as Tomcat
  • Experience of designing and building new applications in a secure environment
  • Excellent grasp of object orientated design, and the experience to know when to apply common design patterns
  • Hands on exposure in Java development and knowledge of Angular, CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript is beneficial
  • Exposure to SQL and Database
  • Use of Java 8 is desirable
  • 1st or 2:1 in Computer Science or related engineer
