What do I need to do before Booking In my vehicle for repairs?

Before your vehicle goes in to the repairer, you should ensure that all personal possessions including any aftermarket items such as dash cams and sat navs are removed from the vehicle to save them getting lost or damaged.

Do I have to pay a contribution or excess towards the repairs?

Policy excess or contributions will be dependent on the terms of your policy, you will be informed of any payments required by your repairer. If you are still unsure or have any queries, please contact Vizion for clarification.

Do I pay the excess even if the incident wasn't my fault?

Your policy excess is your agreed contribution towards the repairs. It should be assumed that it is payable unless informed otherwise. If payable, your insurer will look to recover this on your behalf from the at fault driver's insurers.

Will the repairer collect my vehicle?

The Vizion Approved Repairer will collect and deliver your vehicle if required, please discuss your requirements with the repairer centre representative when they contact you to confirm your booking.

Will repairs effect the warranty on my vehicle?

The Vizion Repair Guarantee covers workmanship for the lifetime of your ownership of the vehicle, this will typically be longer than a manufacturer warranty and will certainly not be less. All manufacturer parts fitted during the repair will carry the standard manufacturer's warranty.

Can I use a manufacturer approved repairer?

To ensure a quality and safe repair all Vizion repairers will repair your vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer's standards.

Will I have access to another vehicle while mine is in for repair?

Vizion aim to keep you mobile throughout the repair process. The repair network can provide a small town car up to 1200cc as a courtesy car for the duration of repairs, subject to your insurers authority. Unless you have purchased additional Hire Car cover, or your insurer has offered you a Hire Car. The Courtesy Car will have to be returned on request once repairs are completed or if the vehicle is deemed a write off.

What happens if my vehicle is written off or a total loss?

In the unfortunate event that your vehicle is a write off, your insurer will contact you to discuss how best to settle your claim. Your repairer will request the return of the Courtesy Car.

When my car is being repaired will i be able to track its progress?

Yes, all customers have there own repair hub that keeps you updated on the progress of your repair 24\7. Your hub will also send you a email or SMS on any updates or messages from your repairer
