What do I need to do before Booking In my vehicle for repairs?

Before your vehicle goes in to the repairer, you should ensure that all personal possessions including any after market items such as dash cams and sat navs are removed from the vehicle to save them getting lost or damaged.

Do I have to pay a contribution or excess towards the repairs?

Policy excess or contributions will be dependent on the terms of your AXA policy, you will be informed of any payments required by your repairer. If you are still unsure or have any queries please contact Vizion for clarification.

Do I pay the excess even if the incident wasn't my fault?

Your policy excess is your agreed contribution towards the repairs. It should be assumed that it is payable unless informed otherwise. If payable, AXA will look to recover this on your behalf from the at fault drivers insurers.

Will the repairer collect my vehicle?

The Vizion Assist Approved Repairer will collect and deliver your vehicle if required, please discuss your requirements with the repairer centre representative when they contact you to confirm your booking.

How long will repairs take?

The repair duration will depend upon the level of damage and the work required to repair your vehicle. A small cosmetic or minor damage repair will typically take 1 day if the mobile repair service is practical. Otherwise your repairer will be able to give you an estimated completion date once a detailed estimate has been completed.

Will repairs effect the warranty on my vehicle?

The Vizion Repair Guarantee covers workmanship for the lifetime of your ownership of the vehicle, this will typically be longer than a manufacturer warranty and will certainly not be less. All manufacturer parts fitted during the repair will carry the standard manufacturers warranty.

Can I use a manufacturer approved repairer?

Will I have access to another vehicle while mine is in for repair?

Vizion Assist aim to keep you mobile throughout the repair process. The repair network can provide a small town car up to 1200cc as a courtesy car for the duration of repairs, subject to your insurers authority. Unless you have purchased additional Hire Car cover or your insurer has offered you a Hire Car. The Courtesy Car will have to be returned on request if the vehicle is deemed a write off.

What happens if my vehicle is written off or a total loss?

In the unfortunate event that your vehicle is a write off, AXA will contact you to discuss how best to settle your claim. Your repairer will request the return of the Courtesy Car.
